Getting ready to go to bed, but I wanted to make a quick post! I had so much fun today! We went to Kirishima and hiked up a mountain river. When Steve told us about it, it didn't seem like it was going to be that big of a thing, but this was like real mountain climbing! And, I was actually really good at it! And I had fun! I've never done anything like that before! Swimming through basins of water, climbing up waterfalls and huge walls of rock! The end was a little scary though, pretty much a complete vertical climb through some woods. It was exhilarating! I easily could've been seriously and permanently injured, or worse died, but I got through it without a single scrape. Everyone was shocked too :D They were calling me "squirrel" and "cat woman." I want to do it again! I'm actually thinking when I go home I want to try rock wall climbing. Maybe start looking into what kind of adventures I can find too! Nehma took some photos, so I'm going to get her to email them to me and then I'll post some.
I also went to my first onsen. It was really weird being naked around other people, but it was relaxing and refreshing. Plus, I needed the nice warm bath after such a strenuous adventure :) After we got back we all went out to eat and drinking. It was really expensive though :( I owe Nehma 2000yen and I owe Steve 1000yen, since all I had on me was 10000yen and no one wanted to break it... Blah :( But it was fun, so I think it was worth it... It was a good day with good people. I'm glad I've made so many good friends while I'm here :)
