Well, today has been rather boring. I didn't really do much aside from cleaning. The room looks so much nicer now that I've run a mop over the floor though :) I did book my flight to Hokkaido in June, which is good. I need to book a hotel next. I was going to plan and book a trip to Osaka, but I kinda planned a little too late for Golden Week. Oh well. Maybe I'll get another chance before I leave. I figure that weekend I can go do some of the things around Kagoshima that I haven't done yet. Like, the zoo, the aquarium, the Meiji Restoration museum, and catch a ferry to Sakurajima. It'll still be a good break if I spend it like that!

I've been doing a lot of reminiscing today. I think it has a lot to do with me missing home so much. I watched a review for Fatal Fury the Motion Picture the other day and I shared it with Andrea today. I remember staying up extra late for the Scifi Channel's late night anime movie back in the day. I think they aired at like 5am or something on Saturdays. Back when me and Andrea called it "aneem" because we couldn't pronounce anime right. It's really got me wondering what the me of back then would think of me now. I finally accomplished what I thought I never would. Back then going to Japan for any length of time would've been a dream come true. And, don't get me wrong, it still is a dream come true, it just doesn't seem to be as special of a thing as it would've been for my younger self. I guess that's the nature of becoming an adult though. I can't help but miss the days of staying up late to watch anime (that I was mostly way too young to be watching at the time) like Project Ako, Fatal Fury, Venus Wars. Renting "Desperately Seeking Shampoo" for the millionth time from Blockbuster. I'll never forget watching Battle Arena Toshinden when my mom walked  in on a nude scene and freaked out hahaha. Oh and Ninja Cadets, that really random OVA anime my local blockbuster had that I loved for some strange reason. Those were the days... I think my ipod may need to be filled with some Hayashibara Megumi songs now.
